Kraft Appetizer Recipes:
Easy Kraft Make Ahead Party Appetizers

Kraft appetizer recipes are generally fast and easy-- because the ingredients you'll need to use are always easy to find.

They're also good-- you know these recipes have been tested because the company uses their test kitchens to develop creative ways to use their products. Take advantage of these inspired foods when you want some variety from cheese trays and cocktail wienies!

Making 'em Healthier. Make ahead party appetizer recipes like the ones below can be adjusted to fit into lower calorie or lower fat diets, too, if you wish. Simply choose the "lower fat" or reduced calorie version of one or two ingredients (Kraft makes lots of these). The change is not generally noticeable in the taste of the food and you can enjoy your appetizers guilt free.

Cool and Crunchy Cucumber Summer Appetizer

Cucumber Appetizers for a Summer PartyHot summer afternoons call for quick and no cook solutions for snacking. These fresh from the garden appetizer bites are perfect to fix ahead of time and then serve chilled

This is one of my favorite Kraft appetizer recipes, because it uses one of my favorite ingredients: cream cheese! It's a wonderful appetizer recipe to make ahead for a party, because you can assemble it completely a few hours before serving.

1 cup Philadelphia Chive and Onion cream cheese
4 cucumbers
2 carrots, shredded
2 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped
Sprig of fresh dill, to garnish

Directions: 1. Cut cucumbers lengthwise and use the tip of a spoon to remove the seeds.

2. In a bowl, combine cream cheese with all but two tablespoons of the carrot.

3. Fill the cucumbers with cream cheese and cut into bite sized pieces. Top with chives and carrot.

Variation: To get the nicer-looking version of this Kraft appetizer recipe (like the one pictured), create cucumber "cups" instead of bites by hollowing out most of the seeds from thick slices of cucumber.

Marinated Mozzarella Caprese Party Skewers

Good Kraft appetizer recipes don't always involve cooking. These skewers are fast to create and easily transported if you need to take your appetizers on the road. They work especially well on a picnic.

The best thing about this is that it's a great (and really fresh-tasting!) make ahead party appetizer recipe, too. Just assemble, refrigerate, and serve when you're ready.

1 bunch fresh basil leaves
2 yellow peppers
1 package cherry tomatoes
1/3 cup Kraft Classic Italian Vinaigrette dressing
Skewers or toothpicks

Directions: 1. Remove stem and seeds from peppers and drizzle lightly with dressing. Place peppers in a pan and roast at 350°F for 10 minutes. Set aside to cool.

2. Thread ingredients onto skewers or toothpicks alternating with cheese, basil, peppers and tomatoes.

3. Place these in a shallow dish and coat ingredients with vinaigrette. Let stand 20 minutes and turn occasionally. Serve as they are as an informal appetizer or without the skewers for a cleaner presentation.

Oven-Baked Crab Rangoon Bites

Crab Rangoon Bites in the Oven- a Kraft APpetizer RecipeSometimes you need an appetizer (whether or not it's actually a Kraft appetizer recipe) that is a bit warm and has an extra special touch. Crab Rangoons hint at exotic places and special flavors... but still taste right at home as an appetizer for just about any event.

This recipe for oven baked crab rangoons is also great, because it doesn't require lots of messy oil, and can be mixed and assembled ahead of time-- simply pop in the oven and bake right before serving.

1 cup white crabmeat, drained and flaked
12 oz. Philadelphia Neufchatel cheese, softened
1 tsp. soy sauce
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
2 green onions, sliced
3 dozen wonton wrappers

Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a muffin tin with cooking spray and place one wonton wrapper in each cup of your muffin tin. The edges of the wrapper will drape over the upper edge of the cups.

2. In a bowl combine softened cheese, soy sauce, garlic, and green onions. Fold in the crabmeat.

3. Spoon crab mixture into each muffin cup about halfway full. Bake 18-20 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the filling is warm.

Crisp Oven-Baked Oriental Chicken Wings

Big appetites sometimes demand hearty appetizers and these wings will definitely hit the spot. The Asian flavors in the salad dressing are balanced by the sweet orange marmalade to give you the best of both worlds. For guests who like the spicier side of wings you can add red chili flakes to the marinade (definitely recommended!). Be sure you have plenty of napkins and a spare plate for the bones.

What makes this Kraft appetizer recipe really easy is that you use a bottled salad dressing to flavor and marinate your wings... which gives you tons of flavor without tons of work.

2 pounds chicken wings, split with tips removed
1/4 cup orange marmalade
1/4 cup Kraft Good Seasons Asian Sesame with Ginger salad dressing
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 green onions, sliced thin

Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 450ºF. Line a shallow pan with aluminum foil and arrange wings in a single layer. Bake 15-18 minutes or until lightly browned.

2. In a bowl, combine orange marmalade, dressing and garlic powder.

3. Brush the marinade to cover wings thoroughly and bake for another 15-18 minutes or until chicken is cooked. Serve hot with green onions sprinkled on top.

Appetizers can be cool or hot, but they do not have to be difficult or time consuming. Your beginning bites will have that unique touch when you pick just the right Kraft appetizer recipes --or your own recipes using your own favorite ingredients-- for the crowd you are serving.
