If you're planning a party or just a casual get-together, oven baked chicken wings are always a wonderful choice.

Why? Because there are very few people in the known universe who do not enjoy chicken wings. They're bite sized, they're satisfyingly meaty, they're crispy, and covered in sweet-spicy-sticky (or whatever!) glazes, they're packed with flavor. And when you bake chicken wings in the oven rather than fry them, they're also healthier than their deep-fried cousins.

The oven wings recipes here are easy to put together, really special --lots of unusual flavors-- and guaranteed to disappear off of your appetizer tray. So be sure to make a bunch of them!

Sweet and Sticky Hawaiian Pineapple Chicken Wings Recipe

Hawaiian Pineapple Preserve Oven Baked Chicken WIngs AppetizersThese Hawaiian style oven baked chicken wings are dipped in a delicious tropical fruit-based sauce. These tasty little wings make a great appetizer for parties or get-togethers.

This also works well as a make ahead chicken wing recipe, as you can marinate the wings up to six-to-eight hours ahead of the cooking time. Which means that, when it's time to eat, all you've got to do is pop 'em in the oven and let the smell of these tasty little chicken wing appetizers cooking make your guests mouths water.

This also makes for a nice dinner service with a rice pilaf and a salad.

3 lbs chicken wings
1 cup pineapple (preserves or jam)
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup frozen orange juice concentrate
1/2 cup dry sherry
1/4 cup olive oil
1 tbsp. hot sauce
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp ginger (ground)

Instructions: 1. Prepare chicken wings by cutting them into sections & discarding (or saving for later) the tips.

2. Combine the pineapple preserves or jam, soy sauce, sherry, brown sugar, orange juice concentrate, oil, hot sauce, garlic & ginger. Mix well to combine.

3. Using a large ziplock bag, combine chicken wings and mixture. Seal well.

4. Use your hands to rub mixture into all parts of the chicken wings, refrigerate & allow flavors to blend for 6 hours.

5. Arrange wings on a foil covered baking sheet and pour about 1 cup of the mixture on top of the wings.

6. Bake wings at 350F for 1 hour.

Honey n' Mojito Oven Baked Chicken Wings Recipe

We've all had really great buffalo wings in our lives-- they're hard to improve upon! But if you're looking for oven chicken wings that are a little different, you're looking for THIS recipe. Ultra flavorful, tender, and wonderful, these are really special and different. They're also easy to make.

The sauce for these is delicious and tangy and rich with mojito flavors. Perfect for a tropical party, and the tangy flavors really pair perfectly with the mint!

Makes 3 dozen wings.

About 36 chicken wings
6 Tbsp Bacardi Rum (or other light rum)
6 Tbsp lime juice
3 Tbsp thick honey
3/8 tsp coriander
1 1/2 tsp zest of a lime
3 garlic cloves, (minced)
1 1/2 tsp mint (chopped)
3/8 tsp black pepper
1 tsp olive oil
3/8 tsp seasoned salt

Instructions: 1. Start with the oven preheated at 450 degrees F

2. Combine all ingredients except the chicken wings.

3. Place chicken wings in a lightly greased glass baking dish with tall sides. Pour mixture on top of chicken.

4. Bake for 35 minutes in the oven, stir occasionally.

5. Move chicken to serving plates and drizzle remaining pan juice over top.

6. Top these oven baked chicken wings with grated lime zest & garnish with mint.

Sweet, Smokey, Spicy Chipotle Chicken Wings Recipe

Oven Baked Chicken Wings with Chipotle GlazeThis is a nice spicy chicken wing sauce with a sweet kick-- the perfect sauce to brighten up plain old oven baked chicken wings! These provide all the heat that you're looking for from a hot wing... but with a totally unique smokey chipotle flavor.

This oven baked chicken wing glaze recipe could also could be used with all kinds of other meat, too. It's really delicious and versatile, and is fabulous on pork.

Now, this is spicy stuff! So if you need to cool the sauce down, serve it with some ranch dressing on the side, or an avocado ranch. Yum!

Makes about 2 dozen wings.

About 24 chicken wings
1/2 cup orange marmalade
2 tbsp. honey
1 (7 1/2 oz) can chipotle chilies in adobo, chopped well ( use everything )
2 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
1 tsp. cumin (ground)
1/2 tbsp. ginger (minced)
2 garlic cloves (minced)
Salt and freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
1/2 C. brown sugar
extra honey (for drizzling on top at the end)

Instructions: 1. Blend all ingredients (except chicken wings) in a food processor until completely combined.

2. For the oven baked chicken wings, position an oven rack about 4-6 inches from the heat, and another rack in the center. Preheat oven to broil. Put wings on a baking sheet and season with salt & pepper to taste. Broil 4-6 inches for about 3 minutes per side, or until just browned.

3. Turn off the broiler and switch the setting on your oven to bake at 350 degree F.

4. Take the wings from the broiler and put them in a 9x13" pan. Add sauce and mix well into the wings.

5. Bake wings at 350 for about 35 minutes, stirring once in the middle of the cook time.

6. Sprinkle brown sugar over and bake about 10-15 minutes more. Drizzle more honey over before serving, if you like.
