Quick and Tasty Party Kabobs Recipe
These festive party bites are easy to prepare a couple of hours ahead of time and offer endless variations. When you place these on your serving table, be sure to also include a small plate or bowl for guests to dispose of their empty skewers.
This is one of those finger foods for parties that you'll go back to again and again, as it's endlessly flexible.
1 package small smoked cocktail sausages
16 ounces fresh cut pineapple
1 small jar green olives
8 ounces sharp cheese
Toothpicks or small bamboo skewers
Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Drain sausages wieners and place in a baking dish in a single layer. Bake sausages for 7-9 minutes or until lightly brown. Set aside to cool.
2. Cut pineapple into small bite sized pieces and the sharp cheese into small cubes. For fancier looking fare, try making triangles or use small cookie cutters to make flowers, circles or stars.
3. Onto each toothpick place one piece each of the wiener, pineapple, olive and cheese. Cut the sharp tip off of the toothpick before laying these on a plate and refrigerating.
