Quick and Easy Party Appetizers:
Great Easy to Make Appetizer Recipes

Simple foods make the best quick and easy party appetizers! Why? Because elegance is often all about simplicity-- which means simple foods can be sophisticated as well as easy to make together.

Good party foods are those that can be eaten in one or two bites and offer a good variety of flavors and textures... just enough to keep your guests marveling at your skills.

Creating great appetizers means using the very best ingredients you can find, and keeping each individual bite simple and balanced. Each morsel will hold only a little bit of food-- so the quality of the cheese, breads and other ingredients will show through quickly. Appetizers with too many ingredients tend to get lost because there is too much going on with the flavors. Keep the ingredient list small and a balance between salty, savory and sweet to give your guests a great experience.

A bonus for you? When crafting quick and easy party appetizers, this minimalist elegance means less work for you, too!

Asparagus Wrapped in Serrano Ham: A Spanish Classic

Asparagus with Serrano Ham Appetizer Recipe for a PartyThe classic pairing of fresh asparagus and salty jamon (or Serrano ham, the Spanish equivalent of Italian prosciutto) in this recipe gives complex flavors and wonderful contrasts to an otherwise very simple appetizer.

The basic preparation of this quick and easy party appetizer also means that you can have it ready at a moment's notice to share with your guests. There is no salt in this dish because the prosciutto is salty enough.

Hint: For an extra special touch try using a hollandaise sauce for dipping the asparagus.
